Stitching Love Into Every Quilt

For more than 20 years, a devoted circle of seniors has gathered at Eisenhower Park’s Lanin House each Thursday — not just to quilt, but to weave comfort, kindness, and connection into every piece they create.

Their handmade quilts have wrapped warmth around Nassau County — from the little ones at LIJ Cohen Children’s Hospital to local veterans, seniors, and neighbors in need. Every quilt is a small act of love, passed from their hands to someone’s heart.

And now, they’d love you to be part of it.

Whether you’re picking up a needle for the first time or you’re an experienced quilter, there’s a seat waiting for you at the table. Come share stories, learn something new, and help create something that truly makes a difference.
