🏥 Eleven Long Island Hospitals Earn Top Safety Scores

Great news for anyone living on Long Island—eleven local hospitals just scored 'A' grades for patient safety in the latest Leapfrog report. This is a big deal because it shows these places are serious about keeping patients safe.

Five of these top-performing hospitals are right here in Nassau County. We're talking about St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NYU Langone Hospital in Mineola, and three Northwell Health locations: Long Island Jewish Valley Stream, Glen Cove Hospital, and Plainview Hospital. If you're choosing where to get care, these names should be on your radar.

The Leapfrog Group looked at more than 30 different safety measures, like staffing numbers and infection control. Northwell Health came out strong with seven 'A' grades across their facilities. Not all hospitals did well though—Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital got a 'D', showing there's still work to be done across the region.
