🌳 Whelan Park Gets a Fresh New Look

Photo by: New York, YIMBY | Whelan Park, via Google Maps

Nassau County has completed a major renovation of Whelan Park, and it looks better than ever! The $2 million makeover as transformed the park into a community hub. The park now has new walking paths that are easy to use, plus fresh playground equipment that kids are already loving. They've also added pretty gardens and trees to make the whole place feel more welcoming. The money for this project came from both state grants and county funds.

One of the coolest new features is a splash pad where kids can cool off in summer. There are also nice picnic spots where families can hang out together. People who live nearby are delighted with the changes, especially how safe and easy it is to get around now. This park makeover is just one part of Nassau County's ongoing effort to make public spaces better for everyone.

They’re a private company, but Pacaso just reserved the Nasdaq ticker ā€œ$PCSO.ā€

No surprise the same firms that backed Uber, eBay, and Venmo already invested in Pacaso. What is unique is Pacaso is giving the same opportunity to everyday investors. And 10,000+ people have already joined them.

Created a former Zillow exec who sold his first venture for $120M, Pacaso brings co-ownership to the $1.3T vacation home industry.

They’ve generated $1B+ worth of luxury home transactions across 2,000+ owners. That’s good for more than $110M in gross profit since inception, including 41% YoY growth last year alone.

And you can join them today for just $2.90/share. But don’t wait too long. Invest in Pacaso before the opportunity ends September 18.

Paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving a ticker symbol is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals.

🌟 NY Invests Big in Youth Mental Health

New York is putting $7.5 million into youth safe spaces across the state. Four nonprofits will run peer-led programs in Albany, Queens, Newark, and Cicero for young people aged 12-24. The centers will give kids a place to hang out, make friends, and get support when they need it.

šŸ›ļø Burlington’s Fresh Start in Massapequa

Burlington opened a new, smaller store in Massapequa on September 12. The first 100 shoppers get $10 gift cards, and they're giving $5,000 to a local school. The new spot is half the size of their old store but still packed with deals up to 60% off.

šŸˆ NFL Star Joins Alzheimer's Event

Former Giants player Leonard Marshall is coming to Amityville for a family fun day on September 27. For $25, you can meet the Super Bowl champ and support Alzheimer's programs. There'll be games, face painting, and music at the new Barbara Rabinowitz Center.

Retired and Need Extra Cash?

If you're retired and finding it tough to make ends meet on Social Security or a pension, a reverse mortgage could help take some of the pressure off. With the "tenure" payment plan, you can receive reliable monthly payments for as long as you live in your home and keep up with basic responsibilities like property taxes and insurance. It’s a way to turn your home’s value into extra income without giving up the place you love, so you can enjoy a more comfortable and secure retirement.

To qualify for a reverse mortgage, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be at least 62 years old.

  • You must own your home outright or have a low remaining mortgage balance that can be paid off at closing with reverse mortgage proceeds.

  • The home must be your primary residence (not a second home or rental property).

  • Eligible properties include single-family homes, FHA-approved condos, townhomes, and certain multi-unit properties (up to 4 units, as long as you live in one).

  • You must demonstrate the ability to pay property taxes, homeowners insurance, and maintenance costs.

  • You must complete a HUD-approved reverse mortgage counseling session to ensure you understand the loan terms and implications.

Are you too young to think about how you’re aging? Probably not.

Starting in our 30s, some key cellular processes begin to slow down, making us feel tired and weak over time. This decline affects not just our physical strength and endurance, but significantly reduces our quality of life making everyday activities harder to enjoy.

Luckily, scientists have discovered a way to shape how we age. MitopureĀ®, by Timeline, targets the root cause of this cellular decline and is clinically proven to increase cellular energy, giving our bodies the energy they need to function optimally. The results? Double-digit increases in muscle strength without any change in exercise.

Take aging into your own hands. 516 Updatereaders get 30% off with code 30NEWSLETTER for a limited time, while supplies last.
