North Hempstead is getting ready for better roads with a big $6 million makeover project. The plan will fix more than 40 miles of streets, making life better for everyone who drives or walks in the area. Local streets have seen their share of wear and tear over the years. Now, thanks to this new project, residents won't have to dodge holes or bumps anymore. This isn't just about fixing roads; it's about making North Hempstead an even better place to live. Work starts soon, and everyone's looking forward to driving on fresh, smooth pavement.

🔬 Cold Spring Harbor Lab's $248M Research Building Takes Shape
Cold Spring Harbor Lab just hit a big moment in their construction project. They've topped out their new $248 million building that will mix AI with biology research. The new building is part of something bigger - a $500 million expansion plan. It will have brain research labs, cancer study spaces, and a special place just for AI work. New York State pitched in $55 million to help make it happen.
What makes this building special? It's built with sustainable wood and spans three floors. When it opens in early 2027, it is projected to bring hundreds of new tech jobs to Long Island. It's going to be a great spot for scientists to work on brain research and use AI in new ways.

Nassau County is working on "Robbie's Law" to put life-saving AEDs at all county sports fields. Named after a local athlete, this plan will help keep young players safe during games and practice.
