🏥 Mount Sinai's $70M Medical Hub Arrives in Nassau County
Big news for Nassau County residents! The new $70 million Mount Sinai care center in Wantagh is opening its doors this August. This isn't just another medical building — it's going to change how local families get their healthcare. The center is bringing 200 new jobs to the area, which is great news for our community. Local residents won't have to travel far to get top-notch medical care anymore. Everything they need will be right in their neighborhood. The building itself is really something special. They've packed it with new medical equipment and made sure it's comfortable for patients. Think less like a typical hospital and more like a modern wellness space.
What makes this project really special is how it fits what Nassau County needs right now. More families are moving to the area, and they need good healthcare options close to home.

🏊♂️ Beach Safety Gets a Boost with $10K Grant
A local town just got great news for beach lovers! They've received a $10,000 emergency grant to make swimming safer for everyone. This comes right when we need it most, especially after spotting a big nine-foot shark near Malibu and Nickerson Beach. The money will help train more lifeguards and buy new safety gear. This means families can have more fun at the beach with greater peace of mind about what's swimming beneath the waves.
The town plans to set up better warning systems to let swimmers know when it's safe to go in the water. They're also starting new programs to teach people about sharks and other sea life.

Long Island's Best Beaches Crown 🏖️
Cooper's Beach in Southampton leads the pack as Long Island claims 13 spots among New York's top beaches. Jones Beach and Main Beach round out the top three. These spots offer everything from perfect sunbathing to fun boardwalk activities.
Road Work Alert in Roslyn Harbor 🚗
Starting Monday, Nassau DPW begins concrete work on three local roads: Cody Avenue, Schoolhouse Hill Road, and Grove Street. The fixes will make driving smoother for everyone in the area.
Baldwin's Big Community Night 🌟
Mark your calendar for August 5! Baldwin High School hosts National Night Out with games, activities, and a chance to meet local police officers. It's a fun family event that brings the whole community together.
