Fun Fact Spotlight:
The 9-11 Memorial Bridge in Saddle Rock, formerly the Saddle Rock Bridge, was rededicated on December 27, 2001 to honor those lost in the September 11 attacks. Each year, locals gather there on Patriot Day to reflect, remember, and stand together in unity.

Long Beach residents have overwhelmingly approved an $87.69 million bond to modernize every school building in the district — and it won’t raise taxes. The plan includes HVAC upgrades, renovated playgrounds, improved athletic facilities, and new classrooms for marine science, carpentry, robotics, and more. Projects will begin next summer and are expected to take about three years. Thanks to state building aid, over 42% of the costs will be reimbursed, easing the local financial burden.

In the heart of Hempstead, NY, a vital cultural institution is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the powerful stories of Black history right here in our community. This guide will walk you through what makes the African American Museum of Nassau County a must-visit destination for residents. For anyone living in Nassau County, from Uniondale to Freeport, this museum offers a tangible link between our local neighborhoods and the broader American story, making it a cornerstone of our shared heritage.

Raising Cane’s is planning a new location in Farmingdale, replacing the last Houlihan’s on Long Island at Republic Plaza. The proposed 4,054-sq-ft restaurant will feature two drive-thrus and indoor/outdoor seating. It’s part of the chain’s growing Long Island footprint, with additional locations planned in Carle Place and Commack.

Mark Udell of London Jewelers has acquired a three-building office portfolio in Manhasset for $3.9M. The properties total 11,900 sq. ft., plus a 5,000-sq-ft parking lot, with plans to use part of the space for jewelry repair operations. Located near the LIRR and Americana Manhasset, the deal was seen as a prime opportunity.
