🏫 Long Beach Voters Approve $87.69M for Schoolwide Upgrades

Long Beach residents have overwhelmingly approved an $87.69 million bond to modernize every school building in the district — and it won’t raise taxes. The plan includes HVAC upgrades, renovated playgrounds, improved athletic facilities, and new classrooms for marine science, carpentry, robotics, and more. Projects will begin next summer and are expected to take about three years. Thanks to state building aid, over 42% of the costs will be reimbursed, easing the local financial burden.

🍗 Raising Cane’s Expands to Farmingdale

Raising Cane’s is planning a new location in Farmingdale, replacing the last Houlihan’s on Long Island at Republic Plaza. The proposed 4,054-sq-ft restaurant will feature two drive-thrus and indoor/outdoor seating. It’s part of the chain’s growing Long Island footprint, with additional locations planned in Carle Place and Commack.

🏢 Manhasset Office Buildings Sold for $3.9M

Mark Udell of London Jewelers has acquired a three-building office portfolio in Manhasset for $3.9M. The properties total 11,900 sq. ft., plus a 5,000-sq-ft parking lot, with plans to use part of the space for jewelry repair operations. Located near the LIRR and Americana Manhasset, the deal was seen as a prime opportunity.
