Adelphi University’s new rooftop solar array is now producing power in Garden City. The university projects approximately $600,000 in savings over its 20-year agreement with Greenskies Clean Energy.

The 546-panel, 295-kilowatt system sits on the Center for Recreation and Sports. Greenskies owns and operates the array, and Adelphi buys its electricity at a discounted rate compared with standard utility pricing.

The project grew out of a required roof replacement. The solar infrastructure itself required no upfront capital investment from the university. The $600,000 figure is a long-term savings projection; the roof replacement was a separate capital expense.

What does it look like when a consumer brand starts to break out?

Popsmith generated $5.8M in revenue in 2025 and is projecting $9M in 2026, with more than 100,000 customers and $20M+ in lifetime sales.

The brand has already earned national recognition through Oprah’s Favorite Things and partnerships with Costco, Sur La Table, and Williams Sonoma, where Popsmith is rolling out nationwide this holiday season.

Now Popsmith is raising capital to accelerate its next stage of growth, and individual investors have the opportunity to become shareholders.

Soft lighting, calming sounds, tactile materials and gentle movement support the program’s existing treatment, rehabilitation and independence-building activities. Participants can explore which sensory experiences help them feel grounded and practice coping skills they can use in daily life. Access is through the PROS program.
