🚗 Long Island's Biggest Car Show Coming to TOBAY Beach

Get ready for an amazing day out at Tobay Beach on April 27th! The biggest car show on Long Island is back, and it's going to be better than ever. More than 500 cars will be on display, from shiny classics to cool modern rides.

Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino seems pretty excited about it too. "We're so happy to bring back this event that shows off our community's love for cars," he said. It's not just about the cars though - there'll be music playing all day, lots of food to try, and fun stuff for kids to do.

This show is a big deal for Nassau County. It brings in visitors from all over, which helps local businesses. Plus, it's a great way for car fans to meet up and share their passion. Local charities will be there too, making it a real community event.

🚂 Historic Roslyn Train Station Gets a Fresh Start

The Long Island Rail Road has started fixing up the old Roslyn station, which has been around since 1887. The main building will be closed until summer 2026 while workers give it a complete makeover.

The updates include fixing the roof, adding new gutters and windows, and making the building stronger. They're also putting in new signs and better lighting on the platform. During the work, 10 parking spots will be blocked off for storing equipment and materials.

Local leaders are happy about the changes. "It's about time... We're going to have a beautiful station here for our community," said Councilman Ed Scott in a chat with .

These fixes are good news for Nassau County folks who take the train. The old station needed some TLC, and these updates will make trips more comfortable for everyone. While the MTA hasn't said how much it's spending on the project, they're using both capital and operating funds to pay for it.

The station's new look will make the whole Roslyn area more appealing. It shows that the LIRR cares about keeping its stations in good shape for the people who use them every day.

🏛️ Upper Brookville Gets New Home: $1.5M Village Hall Coming Soon

After years of moving from place to place, Upper Brookville is finally getting its own home. The Nassau County village just announced plans to build a $1.5 million Village Hall, giving local government its first permanent building in years.

The new building will open its doors in late 2024. Money for the project will come from village savings and some grants they're hoping to get. This means residents won't have to trek to temporary spots anymore to handle their town business.

"This new Village Hall will give us a permanent home and help us serve our community better," says the Mayor. The building won't just be for paperwork - it's meant to be a meeting spot where neighbors can come together and take part in community events.

For residents, this means an easier time dealing with local government stuff. Instead of scattered temporary offices, everything will be under one roof. The village board sees this as a big step forward for Upper Brookville.

🛍️ Luxury Retail Expands at Belmont Park Village

Two fancy new stores just opened their doors at Belmont Park Village this April. Aquazzura, a luxury shoe brand, and Solaris, which sells high-end lifestyle items, are now part of the shopping scene.

The openings kicked off with a big party where local officials and fashion lovers got together to celebrate. Both stores showed off their products at a special preview event, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

This is big news for Nassau County's shopping options. The new stores are bringing jobs to the area and making Belmont Park Village more attractive to shoppers who love nice things. As one local official put it, "These brands show we're serious about making this place a great shopping spot."

According to the Nassau County Economic Development Report, bringing in these types of stores helps the whole community grow. More nice shops mean more people coming to visit and shop, which is good news for everyone in the area.

Both stores are already open for business, ready to welcome customers looking for something special.
