Hanami Japanese Cuisine Brings Tokyo-Inspired Flavors to Merrick

Opened quietly in August, Hanami Japanese Cuisine offers a distinctive take on Japanese fare in Merrick. Co-owned by Tina Shi, who trained and worked in Japan for over a decade, the restaurant features unique dishes like oyster udon and fluke fin sushi. Housed in the former Sushi Ko space, Hanami is decorated with cherry blossom murals, reflecting its namesake and Japanese cultural roots.
