š„ New $7M Urgent Care Opens in Melville
Catholic Health just opened a fresh new urgent care center in Melville, and it's a big deal for Long Island locals. The $7 million center brings both basic and special medical care right to the neighborhood. The place is packed with the latest equipment and plenty of medical staff ready to help. What's really nice is that you won't have to wait as long to see a doctor. The center's setup makes getting in and out much quicker than usual.

š NY's $500K Investment Brings Hope to Addiction Treatment
Great news for New York State! Outreach Development Corp. just got a major boost with a $500,000 grant from the state's Opioid Settlement Funds. This money will help train more addiction counselors, which we really need right now.
Starting October 1, the program will give out 56 full scholarships for people aspiring to become Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASAC). It's open to everyone in New York State, including Long Island residents. This is a real game-changer for folks who want to help others but couldn't afford the training.
