🏥 Northwell Opens New Uniondale Health Center
Northwell Health just opened its brand new Surgical and Digestive Diseases Center in Uniondale. The $5.3 million center will make it easier for Nassau County residents to get top-notch care close to home.

The center comes with all the latest medical equipment and will offer various treatments including endoscopy. This means people won't have to travel far to see specialists or get the care they need for digestive health issues.
This new spot is a big win for the local community.
As more people move to Nassau County, having access to good healthcare becomes even more important. The center fits right into Northwell's goal of giving New Yorkers better medical care.
This fresh addition to Uniondale's medical scene means better health options for everyone nearby. It's nice to see big healthcare providers putting money into local communities where it really makes a difference.

🥯 Bagel Café Coming to Franklin Square

Photo-Long Island Bagel Café
Good news for bagel lovers in Franklin Square! Long Island Bagel Café is opening its ninth store in the area. The new spot will be at Franklin Plaza shopping center, taking over an old Rite Aid space.
The chain, known for its fresh bagels and breakfast sandwiches, plans to open doors in June 2025. They're moving into a nice-sized space - about 2,700 square feet. This is great news for the neighborhood. The café makes their bagels the old-school New York way - rolled, boiled, and baked right there in the shop. They already have shops in places like Bellmore, Glen Cove, and Long Beach, and people love them.
The new store means more food options and jobs for Franklin Square folks. It's nice to see a local business doing well and growing. Plus, who doesn't want a fresh bagel spot nearby?

🥫 Move the Food Day Hits Freeport!
Get ready for a day of giving back! Move the Food Day is coming to Freeport on March 29, 2024. This yearly event brings hundreds of people together to help stock the Long Island Council of Churches' food pantry.

The food pantry does so much good work in Nassau County, making sure families have enough to eat. On March 29, you can help sort and pack food that will go straight to people who need it most. It's amazing to see how many people show up to lend a hand.
Want to be part of something special? You can sign up to volunteer and find more details at Long Island Council of Churches.
