🏗️ Green Acres’ $130M–$150M Makeover Adds New Tenants

Rendering of the planned Green Acres Mall redevelopment in Valley Stream

Rendering: Green Acres / Macerich. Shows the planned redevelopment.

Valley Stream’s Green Acres Mall is getting a makeover estimated at $130 million–$150 million, with True Religion and Timberland among the new tenants joining the lineup.

Here’s what’s in the plans:

  • The footprint: 400,000 square feet of redevelopment, reusing former department-store space.

  • The layout: Outward-facing shops, restaurants and a new entrance.

  • The lineup: An 80,000-square-foot ShopRite, Shake Shack and The Cheesecake Factory, alongside the new retail names.

For Nassau shoppers, that means new places to shop and eat as familiar mall spaces take on a different look. The estimated budget covers the broader revamp. Incoming businesses are planned additions, so check the mall directory before heading out to a specific store.
