A beloved Long Island pasta maker takes a big step forward, buying a massive new space to make more of their Italian favorites.
La Nonna's Pasta, a well-known name in Nassau County's food scene, recently bought a huge 20,000-square-foot building in Deer Park. They paid $3.9 million for the space, showing just how well they're doing and how much they plan to grow.
The timing couldn't be better. More and more people want good, local food these days, and La Nonna's has built quite a following. With this bigger space, they can stock more grocery store shelves and supply more restaurants. That means whether you're cooking at home or eating out, you'll probably see more of their pasta around town.

Science Links Mitochondria & Muscle Strength
As our muscles age, they naturally lose mass, strength, and function ā a result of certain muscle fibers shrinking ā contributing to fatigue and weakness beginning as early as our 30s. Recent research highlights that the key player in this aging process is our mitochondria, tiny-but-mighty organelles that produce more than 90% of our bodyās energy. Importantly, scientists have found a strong link between decreased mitochondrial health and muscle health decline with aging, emphasizing the importance of maintaining these cellular engines.
A new way to support and improve muscle health as we age, MitopureĀ® by Timeline is clinically shown to meaningfully boost our mitochondrial health to improve muscle strength, without any change in exercise required.

šļø Beach Revival: Crescent Beach Getting Ready for Swimming
Glen Cove's Crescent Beach, closed for 18 years due to bacteria, is getting ready to welcome back swimmers. The city is working with engineers on new water treatment methods, backed by $200,000 grant from Nassau County.
š³ Historic Garden Party to Save 1930s Trellis
The Nassau County Museum of Art is throwing a cool garden party on September 27 to fix up an old trellis from the 1930s. The Metamorphosis: Trellis & Garden Benefit will have after-hours tours, drinks, and snacks for $75 per ticket. The 30-foot teak trellis needs some TLC - it hasn't been fixed up since 1990.

Pet insurance could help you offset rising veterinary costs
Veterinarians nationwide reported that corporate managers pushed clinics to focus on profit, with vets often paid based on revenue. This encouraged them to see more pets, order more tests, and upsell services, creating a growing burden for uninsured pet owners. Pet insurance could help you offset some of these rising costs, with some providing up to 90% reimbursement. View Moneyās top pet insurance picks to see plans starting at only $10/month.
