š Historic Mill Gets $1M Makeover in Roslyn

Nassau County is putting some serious money into fixing up an old local treasure. County Executive Bruce Blakeman just announced they're spending $1 million to restore the Roslyn Grist Mill, which has been standing since the 1700s.
The work's starting in early 2024, and they want to wrap it up by year's end. The plan is to fix up the building and make it easier for everyone to visit. It's pretty cool that they're saving this piece of local history.
The mill won't just be nice to look at - it's going to be a place where people can hang out and learn about local history. They're thinking about doing educational programs and community events there. Local business owners are excited too, since it could bring more visitors to the area.
