Nassau University Medical Center just landed $109.6 million in state funding to cut losses and improve how things run. The money will also help support vulnerable patients as new leadership takes over. This cash injection should mean better healthcare access for the community.

Kids United is opening its first Long Island location in East Meadow for children nine and under. The facility will offer age-appropriate soccer programs and Parent & Me classes designed to build fitness and social skills. It's part of a bigger push to give young kids more access to sports in the area.
