🌊 Protecting Our Shores: Oyster Bay Gets $244K Boost

Good news for Oyster Bay residents! The town just got $244,000 from New York State to help protect our beaches and restore natural habitats. This money is part of a bigger $2.4 million plan to take care of the South Shore Estuary Reserve.
The announcement came at TOBAY Beach on September 24, 2025. The money will help plant more shellfish in the Great South Bay and add dune grass to make the shoreline stronger. Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino says these areas are key for keeping our community safe from floods while giving everyone great places to enjoy the outdoors.

Port Jefferson's Harvest Festival is back on October 18-19 with free admission for all. The village will come alive with local vendors, live music, seasonal food, and family activities like pumpkin picking and crafts.
