A school district in North Massapequa is making big moves to keep kids safe. The Plainedge School District just spent $250,000 on a new security system that can stream live video during emergencies.

Every room in their schools now has smart cameras that can stream live video and sound straight to emergency teams. The setup includes the classrooms, halls, gyms, and even the sports fields.

The staff received special emergency badges that can initiate a lockdown with a single click. They also put in these cool XShield Smart Displays in each classroom - they work like panic buttons and can play announcements during an emergency.
