Long Beach Zoning Board To Continue Review Of 106-Unit Condo Proposal
The Long Beach Zoning Board of Appeals is scheduled to continue reviewing a proposed 106-unit condominium development at 530 West Broadway, the former Hebrew Academy of Long Beach site.
The approximately $108 million plan calls for demolishing the existing building and constructing an eight-story complex on about 1.72 acres. The proposed mix includes 16 one-bedroom, 42 two-bedroom and 48 three-bedroom units.
The city's final environmental impact statement was accepted in March, but the development still needs zoning relief. The next public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, at 6 p.m.
The project remains a proposal and has not yet received the zoning approvals it is seeking.

Halloween on Plandome Road is scheduled to return to Manhasset on Saturday, October 17.
The Manhasset Chamber of Commerce is organizing the community event, which is expected to include trick-or-treating at participating businesses along Plandome Road. It gives families an early opportunity to mark their calendars while encouraging visits to local merchants.
