🏥 New $14M Women's Cancer Center Brings Hope to New Hyde Park

Northwell Health is bringing big changes to New Hyde Park with their new $14 million Center for Women's Cancer. Set to open in October 2025, this center will be a game-changer for women dealing with breast and gynecologic cancers. The 21,000-square-foot space at the R.J. Zuckerberg Cancer Center isn't just another medical facility. It's packed with 26 exam rooms, 10 consultation rooms, and two procedure rooms. More than 20 doctors will work there, making sure women get the care they need close to home.

The timing couldn't be better. Nassau County has seen high breast cancer rates - about 147 cases per 100,000 women from 2017 to 2021. The center will help by offering not just medical treatment, but also things like nutrition advice and financial help. They'll even have people who speak nine different languages to help patients find their way around.
