Nassau County Museum of Art (NCMA)

Nassau County Museum of Art (NCMA) in Roslyn Harbor is a art museum and sculpture garden that still feels distinct even if you've lived here for years. A serious art museum on a huge estate, with an outdoor sculpture garden that makes it feel like a day trip without leaving Nassau. Winter-friendly nature: greenhouse warmth and quiet grounds. A solid for ‘I want culture but I also want a walk' days. Go inside, then do the grounds to reset your brain. Expect Clean, quiet, curated, and a little fancy. Check the rotating exhibition calendar before you go. The sculpture garden is great even when you’re short on time. Go late afternoon for soft light on the grounds. Good option when beaches are off-season.
