Glen Cove seeks state grant for $12.4 million water upgrade
The Glen Cove City Council is moving forward with plans for a $12.4 million water treatment project at the Kelly Street Well. California. Texas. The Billboard Hot 100. It's all on Kalshi.

The California governor primary is live right now. So is the Texas Senate race, the 2028 presidential field, and the question of whether Taylor Swift releases a song for Toy Story 5.

Political and cultural markets on Kalshi move in real time — as news breaks, odds shift. Which means someone who reads closely, follows polls, and actually pays attention to what's happening has a genuine edge over someone who doesn't.

On Kalshi, information is the advantage. The platform is federally regulated under the CFTC, with no house edge and no restricted winners. Every dollar traded reflects real collective intelligence about what's going to happen.

If you're already following politics and culture closely, Kalshi turns that attention into an asset.

Nassau officials push back against Liberty Utilities rate hike
Nassau officials are urging the state Public Service Commission to reject Liberty Utilities’ proposed water rate increase, which could add more than $20 to $28 per month to some residential bills. Liberty says the added revenue would support water-main replacements, PFAS treatment systems, lead service line replacements, and other infrastructure upgrades. But local officials from Oyster Bay, Hempstead, and the state Assembly argue the proposed hikes would place another burden on residents already dealing with high costs for housing, groceries, and energy. A state hearing on the proposal is expected in July.
