What Nassau’s Spring Housing Market Means Now

Nassau’s spring housing market is moving, but buyers are not getting much relief. April brought more listings and more activity, while the median single-family home price reached $852,000. That gives buyers more to look at, but well-priced homes are still moving quickly. Sellers also have to be more realistic as inventory improves. For homeowners, the bigger question is whether recent sales in their town are lifting their property value or simply showing how uneven the market has become.

The Great Wealth Transfer: What Happens When $124 Trillion Changes Hands?

New projections earlier this year have the Great Wealth Transfer at a potential $124 trillion through 2048.

BofA has been tracking younger high net worth investors closely. 83% of those 43 and younger said they currently own art or aspire to. This is compared to just 34% of those older than 43.

Ventas, a Chicago-based real estate investment trust, has purchased The Bristal Assisted Living facility in Westbury. The company is planning upgrades to the 140-unit property, with 20% of units remaining affordable. The deal points to continued demand for senior housing on Long Island, especially as more older residents and families look for local care options.
