🚌 New York's $80M Green Transit Push

New York State is putting almost $80 million toward getting more zero-emission vehicles on the road, with Nassau County set to see major benefits. The money comes from the Zero-Emission Transit Transition Program (ZETT), which helps transit companies switch to cleaner vehicles. Seven transit providers will get funding for new electric buses and charging stations. For example, Suffolk County Transit is getting $5 million to buy 12 new electric buses.

This is great news for local air quality and public health. The program will make it easier for everyone - including families and older folks - to use clean public transit. It's part of New York's push to cut down on pollution and make transportation better for everyone.
