We’ve officially hit the midweek hump. Whether you’re commuting on the LIRR or working from the home office, we’ve got a steady mix of community updates to keep you in the loop. Today, we’re looking at a major historic reveal and an artsy debut on the North Shore.

Fun Fact Spotlight:
Roslyn Harbor: Most people know Cedarmere as the home of William Cullen Bryant, but the original farmhouse was actually built in 1787—long before the famous poet moved in and made it the landmark it is today.

📍 Oyster Bay Adds New Historic Sign at Fort Massapeag

If you’re heading down to Massapequa, keep an eye out for the new marker at Fort Massapeag. It’s officially the only documented Native American fort site in Nassau, and the Town just gave it a major upgrade. The new sign features a QR code you can scan to pull up the full history of the 1600s Dutch trading post and Algonquian village. It’s a cool way to see what the Island looked like before the parkways took over.
