Which Local Nonprofits Could Get PSEG Grant Money?
The PSEG Foundation’s 2026 Neighborhood Partners Program opens today, with $1.2 million available for nonprofits across Long Island and New Jersey. Awards are expected to range from $500 to $15,000, and applications are open through June 30.
Local groups working on food support, utility assistance, housing support, workforce development, health and human services, education, environmental work, and other community needs should check eligibility now. The window is short, and the strongest fit will be existing programs that can show clear local impact.

Nassau Animal Shelters Get $790K for Upgrades
Three municipal animal shelters in Nassau are receiving a combined $790,535 through New York State’s Companion Animal Capital Projects Fund.
The Town of Hempstead received $500,000 for a new canine medical suite, kennel installation, soundproofing, and HVAC, plumbing, and drainage updates. North Hempstead received $200,000 to replace outdated kennels and install epoxy flooring. Glen Cove received $90,535 to upgrade cat isolation walls and dog kennel walls and install a new fire alarm system.
