About $5M to Bring Sewers to 45 Sea Cliff Homes

A roughly $5 million sewer expansion is planned for Sea Cliff, bringing public sewer service to 45 homes and helping protect Hempstead Harbor and Long Island Sound. Nassau announced the funding September 10.
The package includes $4 million in additional county bond authorization over two years and $1 million in federal grants. The planned work covers 2,860 feet on Prospect Avenue, Winding Way, The Drive and Park Way.
Replacing aging cesspools is the neighborhood improvement behind the number: wastewater would move into the public sewer system rather than relying on those older systems. The announcement describes authorized funding and planned connections; it does not give a construction start or completion date.
