💧 What Will Massapequa Get From a $15M Water Upgrade?

The Oyster Bay Town Board approved a $15 million bond for Massapequa Water District projects, including the replacement of about 15,500 linear feet of aging cast iron water mains. The funding also covers iron removal work at Well #1 and upgrades at several district well sites.

For Nassau residents in the district, the question is not just whether the pipes are getting older. It is how this work could affect water reliability, drinking water quality, future repair costs, and the tax bills that will repay the bond over 30 years.
